The 4 types of galaxies are spiral, barred spiral, elliptical and irregular.
1. Spiral galaxy is easiest to identify due to its spiral structure and has its dust and gas scattered out evenly. Two good examples are the Milky Way Galaxy and Andromeda Galaxy.
2. Barred Spiral looks somewhat like a spiral galaxy, but in the first stages. Rather than having the same look as the spiral galaxy, the gas and dust in a barred galaxy are compressed near the center, with unevenness of the gas and dust, even though it still forms somewhat of a spiral.
3. Elliptical Galaxies are one of the largest galaxies with billions of solar systems clustered to appear as one star. With dust and gas scattered throughout, these galaxies appear to be a round shape and tend to hardly contain interstellar matter.
4. Irregular galaxy is also easy to identify because it is poorly structured and are even sometimes called dwarf irregular galaxies.
There are many galaxies in the universe. Galaxies are formed from a bunch of stars. Our planet, Sun, and the other planets revoling aroung the Sun are located in the Milky Way galaxy. Anyway, the types of galaxies are spiral, lenticular, elliptical, and irregular. :)
The main types are spiral galaxies, barred spiral galaxies, elliptical galaxies lenticular galaxies and irregular galaxies. The main types can then broken down into grades.

Four? There are hundreds of billions of galaxies. The four closest are 1) the Milky Way, our own galaxy; 2) and 3) the Greater and Lesser Magellanic Clouds and 4) M31, or the Andromeda Galaxy.
Comment: Obviously this question is incomplete. Well done for having a go at it.
I think it might mean "What are the four main TYPES of galaxies?", but I don't
really know.
Anyway here are the 4 main galaxy types (although there are other schemes
of classification) : Elliptical, Spiral, Lenticular, and Irregular.
Incidentally, if you check the distances of the nearest galaxies, I'm
sure Andromeda isn't number 4. That doesn't matter much for this question though. I guess it depends a lot on whether you count "dwarf galaxies".
the three main types of galaxies are spiral, ellipticul and irregular
spiral contains spiral arms contained gas, dust and they help new stars form
elliptical, are spear shape, older, and redder
irregular does not have a well definite shap
all sizez have 8 shapes and contains little gas and dust
Spiral galaxys
The possessive form for the plural noun galaxies is galaxies'.Example: Their galaxies' paths do not coordinate.
Galaxies may have any of four general shapes. Elliptical galaxies show little or no structure and vary in general shape from moderately flat and round or oval to spherical. Spiral galaxies have a small, bright central region, or nucleus, and arms that come out of the nucleus and wind around, trailing off like a giant pinwheel. In barred spiral galaxies, the arms extend sideways in a short straight line before turning off into the spiral shape. Both kinds of spiral systems are flat. Irregular galaxies are usually rather small and do not have a symmetrical shape.
Stars
There are no smaller galaxies in the Andromeda galaxy. In the Local group of galaxies to which Andromeda and the Milky Way are part of, there are around 30 smaller galaxies,
There are actually four broad classifications : spiral, elliptical, lenticular and irregular. Spiral galaxies look, basically, like our Milky Way Galaxy, though there are some variations. Ellipticals can look elongated like a football, or almost spherical. Lenticulars are "lens shaped" galaxies. The irregular category covers just about everything else and include galaxies like our neighbors, the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds . (Classifications vary and there are some that have only three types.)
There are various ways of categorising galaxies, often based on Edwin Hubble's work on the shapes galaxies. Classifications often give the four main types of galaxies as: Spiral (including barred spiral), Elliptical, Lenticular and Irregular.
All galaxies are different sizes and mainly four different shapes, spiral, barred spiral, elliptical and irregular
Ricardo L. Carezani has written: 'Four Galaxies in Peace'
There are four types of galaxies in the universe . A galaxy that has an undefined shaped is best classified as an irregular galaxy. 10% of galaxies are classified this way.

Spiral galaxies, barred spiral galaxies, elliptical galaxies, and irregular galaxies
Elliptical galaxies are sometime called dwarf galaxies.
15 Galaxies? There are over 1,000,000,000 galaxies possibly more.
