Dogs can be trained to act as 'guide dogs for blind people', they can act as guard dogs, they can sniff/smell out chemicals/drugs/money as their nose is much more sensitive than a human nose.

They have a HIGHER hearing range than humans, so can hear noises that humans cannot hear.

They display a level of loyalty to other dogs and humans that humans do not display amongst themselves.
