The harmful questions to delete (trash completely) catch-all is where questions are kept before they are permanently deleted. They are reviewed by advanced supervisors before a decision is made about their final fate.
Questions which should be trashed here are:
~ Questions which contain the full name of a non-celebrity.
~ Questions which contain personal details such as addresses or phone numbers.
~ Questions which are complete gibberish and therefore unlikely to ever be asked again.
~ Questions which need to be removed because they are duplicates (a bug)
Questions which do not fall into the above list should not be trashed to harmful questions to delete.
Questions which should NOT be sent to harmful questions to delete are:
~ Questions with not enough information to answer.
~ Questions asking about illegal acts.
~ Questions cyberbullying celebrities.
~ Questions cyberbullying someone giving just the first or last name (rather than full name).
~ And so on.
These have their own specific catch-alls.
Many supervisors think choosing "trash completely" to harmful questions to delete will automatically delete the question permanently - it doesn't.
The harmful questions to delete category is patrolled by advanced supervisors with extra powers, such as the ability to delete questions. These advanced supervisors will regularly review the questions trashed to the category and either delete them, move them to another catch-all or untrash them.
You must never trash questions to the catch-all (or anywhere else for that matter) just because you don't agree with them (we see this a lot with homosexuality or religious related questions) - this is a violation of the Supervisor guidelines.
Any question that can be given an answer or re-worded, should be answered or re-worded rather than trashed (ie - badly spelled questions). It is fine to have badly-worded questions as alternates, as this is actually beneficial.
Trashing unnecessarily to harmful questions to delete will not only increase the workload of the advanced supervisors, but it will also earn you a slap on the wrist from a Community Assistant, who may recommend that you re-do your supervisor mentoring, regardless of whether you're a supervisor or senior supervisor.
Guidelines for Harmful Questions to Delete are in the link below.
No, it's a solid. Should delete such silly questions on here.
Contributors cannot delete questions from WikiAnswers. However, supervisors can trash questions. If you are a supervisor click on the question and in the left-hand side you should see the word "Trash" (if you see the word "Untrash" it means the question has already been trashed). Clicking on "Trash" will delete the question. If you didn't mean to trash the question, then don't worry, just click Untrash and the question will be restored. Supervisors: Questions should only be deleted if they are harmful or complete nonsense. At WikiAnswers we have several "catch-all" questions to catch vulgar questions, so before deleting please ensure that the question doesn't need to be merged into on of the catch-alls. Anybody can delete answers to a question (unless the question is protected). Do not delete an answer unless it is wrong, nonsense, is vulgar, or is harmful. Instead of completely deleting an answer, please try to clean it up. For example, if an answer contains correct information or somebody's opinion but contains bad words, then simply take out the bad words. If an answer is completely wrong then you can delete it, for example if an answer says that George Washington was the second President then you can change it to say first. BUT if you believe an answer is wrong simply because it disagrees with your opinion then it should be left and you can add your alternate opinion. You can also ask any supervisor (see the list below) or email WikiAnswers @ Answers.com (no spaces) if you have any questions about deleting an answer or question. If you are a contributor and would like a question trashed then please contact a supervisor or email WikiAnswers @ Answers.com (no spaces).
