Aragon and Castile
Ferdinand II was king of Sicily and of Aragon. After his marriage to Isabella he became king of Castile. These kingdoms eventually combined to become Spain.
In 1469, the kingdoms of Castile and Aragon were united by the marriage of Isabella and Ferdinand. Although the kingdoms were united, they remained largely independent.
Lost Kingdoms II happened in 2003.
Isabella and Ferdinand's major goals were to create wealthy kingdoms and to spread Catholicism. They also attempted to unite their kingdoms under Catholicism but were unsuccessful.

Isabella I was Queen of Castile and Leon. Her husband was Ferdinand II, King of Aragon. Together they presided over the final defeat of the Moors in Spain, The eviction of the Moors and the Jews, and the beginning of the Spanish Inquisition. She also financed Columbus' voyages of exploration. Isabella and Ferdinand co-ruled the kingdoms of Castile, Leon, and Aragon. They consulted each other and ruled all three kingdoms with the same policies. Neither one ruled the kingdom(s) of the other. They never ruled Spain! Each one retained ownership(?) of their respective kingdoms. The kingdoms were not united under one monarch until their grandson, Charles I of Spain, inherited all 3 kingdoms. That occurred in 1516 with the death of Ferdinand II. Ferdinand's death placed all three them under one monarch. That was the beginning of the political entity of Spain as we know it today.
