Mandarin Chinese is used in most schools in China. While it is becoming more and more popular to learn English it is not a required language to learn.

Chinese schools educate children with western methods, so what a kid learn in U.S.A, are mostly the same with what Chinese children learn in China, only Chinese kids know more about U.S than American kids know about China.
