Shoshone people speak English.
Historically, they spoke Shoshoni, also called Sosoni' ta̲i̲kwappe. Today less than 1000 people can speak it natively, and another 1000 people can speak it as a second language with various levels of fluency. It is a threatened language, but there is a revitalization plan.
