A siphon is technically powered by gravity. Once a tube is flowing, if there is more volume of fluid being dropped to a lower level, the gravity can take over and continue the flow. From the fluid escaping from the outbound side, it develops a negative pressure on the other side that continues to supply the fluid to drop with, and continuously take advantage of the gravitational weight. The friction of the fluid will eventually stop the siphon, but if the tube is dropping down low enough from the original liquid source, the extra gravity force can keep it going forever.
Siphon will fail to work if the level of the liquid in the two vessels are at the same height.
YES, physics can be applied to medical science, you must have heard of the term sonography, endoscopy, they all work on the laws of physics .A simple istrument is a sphygmomanometer which measures our blood pressure
Physics deals with the way things work in the world and the natural laws that govern them. Everything one does from the moment they are born to the moment they die is covered by physics. The air you breath, they way you walk, the way you drink, is all described by physics. Gravity, light, sound, mass, gasses, solids, electrical charges, are all described and studied by physics. You can not escape them.

In physics, work is done when a force is applied over a certain distance.

what? Physics has nothing to do with an ipod other then electricity. now throwing an ipod at your friends head is different =)

Super Siphon kit available at auto parts should work,
They only work in places where the laws of physics don't. It's a perpetual motion machine scam. For more information visit the Related Link.
in physics work work=force *distance the distance covered by body by any force is called work.
Physics works in the whole of the universe.

yes didnt you pay attention in physics? Actually this answer is wrong. You only do work if the car moves according to the laws of chemistry.

Scientist use physics for all sorts of things. Scientist can use Newtons and other gravity-related laws to work out the trajectory of a crashing satellite. If scientist wanted to, he could look use molecular physics to predict how chemicals will react. Scientist is a pretty cool guy.
