WHo qualified for stimulus check in 2009
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 provided for a one-time payment of $250 to individuals who receive Social Security or Supplemental Security Income benefits. Most of the payments were delivered by late May 2009. There is no economic stimulus check for 2010.
moot now. Stimulus checks occured in 2008, and had to be applied for by Oct. (With some few exceptions). There are none for 2009.
Nothing is available at this time for the year 2010. The checks that were received in the year 2009 were called Economic Recovery Payment check. The economic stimulus check was received in the year 2008.
The next stimulus package, which is only proposed and never mentions sending checks like the last one (and probably won't), would never apply to illegals anyway.
For the ziilionth time..there are NO plans for any NEW, NEXT, 2009 ot OTHER stimulus checks. Perhaps you should try getting your information from different sources - newspapers, TV, radio....etc..NONE of which ever say or eve imply there will be one.
No stimulus checks are due to anyone at this time in the year 2010. For 2009 if you filed your income tax return correctly and had any earned income they had the making work pay tax credit available for this purpose and if you did not qualify for it then you did not get the amount of the MWPTC amount after you filed your income tax return correctly.
Short answer: Yes. But most people are unaware that these checks are funded by taxpayers, and unfortunately, will be issued to taxpayers and non-taxpayers alike. In fact, an individual does not even need a Social Security number to receive a check under Obama's plan (?????). The Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 aka "The Stimulus Bill" needs a combination of measures geared towards recovery in both the short term, AND the long term. So while a "rebate" check would help for a week or two, it would be more of a stimulus to eliminate the federal income tax altogether. Obamas version of this legislation is really more or less a spending bill that guarantees long term debt as opposed to long term recovery. It is Robin Hood Economics at its worst. And it will all but decimate the middle class.
In 2009, the U.S. government issued economic stimulus payments to eligible taxpayers as part of the Economic Stimulus Act. These payments were not tax rebate checks, but rather a one-time payment meant to stimulate the economy. Eligibility was based on income and filing status, and if you met the criteria, you should have received a payment.
They will receive a payment, but the details of how and when it will be done have not been worked out yet.
Yes.
