Approximately 13 million children attend school. Since 1970 France has been known to have an outstanding preschool system, 3 to 5 year old children can attend preschool. The schooling system is structured with preschool, primary school and then collage. It is compulsory for children 6 to 16 to attend school. They are at school for 5 hours (8:30am-3:30pm) they go to school every day except weekends (Saturday & Sunday. There are around 23 children in a class. In Primary school children learn to read, count write and speak correctly. After Primary school the children go to college in college children are taught French literature, maths, different types of science like Biology, physics and chemistry, English, Spanish or German ( students choice), P.E, music, arts, history, geography and politics.

Do you mean 'How are the French taught French?'. They would learn it the same way you learned English as a baby. Your French lessons would be more like their English lessons than their French lessons.
French pupils typically have around 8-9 weeks of summer holidays, usually starting from early July and ending in early September.
