Rarely can a single verse be read in isolation, if we want to understand its meaning. Nehemiah 8:8 says that they read from the book of law and caused them to understand the reading. This 'book of the law' is mentioned in verse 8:1 and is probably either Deuteronomy or Leviticus.
It has long been noted that the people of Jerusalem supposedly already knew the law of The Bible and understood the book, yet it was necessary for Ezra to stand up and read the book, explaining and interpreting it as he went. This passage tells us that what Ezra was reading to the people was news to them. So much of the Bible had been written during the Babylonian Exile, and those who had remained behind knew nothing of this. Not even all the Jews in exile appear to have been aware of the material that Ezra read to them.
It's a different Nehemiah mention in Ch. 3 Verse 16, apparently he's the ruler of the half part of Bethzur which Nehemiah (the writer of the book) is not. So just a different Nehemiah.

Chapter 1 verse 6 ........where
luke chapter 3 verse 23
Greece is mentioned 5 times in the Bible In the book of Daniel chapter 8 verse 21, chapter 10 verse 20, chapter 11 verse 2 In the book of Zechariah chapter 9 verse 13 In the book of Acts chapter 20 verse 2
The verse should be identified by book and then chapter and verse number within that chapter. For example John 3:16 refers to the Book of John, 3rd chapter, 16th verse.
Matthew chapter 27, verse 33 says they took Jesus to Golgotha to be crucified.Mark chapter 15, verse 22 gives the same information as doesLuke chapter 23, verse 33. and John chapter 19 verse 17.
My verse is from John chapter 3 verse 16.
Chapter 1, verse 14
Nothing happened. Between Verse-1 and Verse-2, there are no words.
A scripture reference is the book, chapter and verse in the Bible. Example: John 3:16. 'John' is the specific book of The Bible. '3' is the chapter in the book. '16' is the verse in the chapter.
