She is being forced to marry a prince called Paris by her mother. She is in love with Romeo but they are in different houses and their love is forbidden. Eventually her dad tells her to die in the streets and she is basically suicidal. She pretends to be dead and threatens to kill herself if she doesn't get the potion to make her look dead. But Romeo does not know she is only pretending to die so he kills himself. Juliet then wakes up and stabs herself with a dagger. Plus, the only time she ever got out of the house is to go to church. So yah. Pretty good life, don't ya think!
