In short, There is not one, Some Freemasons may have been Illuminati but there is not a formal Tie between the two.

If you ment Illuminati, there is none.

Whenever conspiracy theory is spouted, the mysterious "Illuminati" (along with the Bilderburgers, The Trilateral Commission, the Council of Foreign Relations, and a plethora of others) are most often named as being responsible. Ironically, however, while many, many people can name those ostensibly belonging to the other conspiracy groups, the "Illuminati" is always left hanging as some secret, shadowy entity which no one can quite describe.

Interestingly too, no one can quite identify what specific acts can be attributed to them - everybody's got their own lists. And no one in 225 years seems to have left the organization to reveal its secrets. Pretty powerful stuff..... (If you're not hearing the theme music for The X-Files right now, it's a CONSPIRACY!!!)

Not one single defector in 5 or 6 generations: think about that! That'd be your great, great, great grandfather. I wonder how many people reading this page can actually name someone from their family who lived in the 1700s. Those who want to persuade us that a secret Illuminati cabal did lead the world from the Renaissance to the 19th century, and/or that it continues to do so today have a very difficult burden of proof and have never come close to producing documents or actual evidence that such is the case.

Illuminati historyThe Illuminati was a movement founded on May 1, 1776. Much is, retrospectively, made of both the May 1st date later used by the Russian Revolution as well as the 1776 date tying in to the American Revolution. In fact, since there are only 365 days in a year, the Russian Revolution was bound to occur on one date or another which would/could have a connection to some devious scheme. By 1776, the American Revolution was well along in its planning stages and there's no credible link to a group founded in what is today near Munich, Germany. It was begun by Adam Weishaupt who was educated by the Jesuits, not unlike many who sought an education in those days and in that place. His organization was composed of those who were then espousing the ideals of the Enlightenment: freedom of thought and equality amongst classes of people, ideas that were considered by the authorities as being heretical and treacherous, particularly since logical outcome of equality would preclude the continued existence of monarchy. They were ideas which today, anyone reading this likely espouses: the right to think as one wishes and to exercise - within the bounds of law - their freedom of choice. At that time, though, freethinking was an anathema to those in power and subjected those who would think such heretical thoughts to imprisonment.

FREEMASONRY

Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest Fraternity. While its traditions look back to earliest history, Masonry in its current form appeared when its public events were noticed by the residents of London, England in 1717. Although Masonry - particularly in its earliest days - had some elements of secrecy, the first 'exposure' of the supposedly highly-secret Masonic ritual actually appeared in 1696! Since that time, there have been tens of thousands of books published about this 'secret organization'. And for over three hundred years, despite the good works done by its members, Freemasonry has continually suffered the slings and arrows of those who seek to use it's quiet nature against it.

Freemasonry's singular purpose is to make good men better and its bonds of friendship, compassion and brotherly love have survived even the most divisive political, military and religious conflicts through the centuries. Freemasonry is neither a forum nor a place of worship. It is not a religion nor does it teach a religious philosophy. For nearly three hundred years it has attracted men of high moral character who support the tenets of temperance, fortitude, prudence and justice.

We're often asked, "What do Freemasons believe?" The answer is quite simple: essentially the same things that teachers, bus drivers, Rotarians, or anyone else believes. There is no 'requirement' that all Masons believe certain things except insofar as good behavior dictates.

They are similar, but not the same. They each have different beliefs, practices, and more importantly, goals. I would suggest you read up on it yourself if you want to know, but I cannot tell you if they are pitted against each other.

The Illuminati movement was founded in 1776 in upper Bavaria and did seem to be modelled on the Freemasons, and many Illuminati chapters drew membership from existing Masonic lodges. One of their purported beliefs was a republicanistic approach to government; or to put it simply, away with the nobility, and in with the common man.

In 1777, Karl Theodor became ruler of Bavaria. As a Noble. he was a proponent of Enlightened Despotism (i.e., "I'll treat the common man well enough if you do what I say. If not, I've got all these lovely dungeons and under-worked torturers looking for their raison d'être"). So in 1784, his government issued an edict that banned all secret societies, including the Illuminati.

This edict was the deathblow to the Illuminati. The illuminati's Grand Poobah Weishaupt fled, and the rest of the members decided that being former-Illuminati was healthier than being current, paid-up members and went back to being well behaved subjects of Karl Theodor, thus avoiding any unpleasant poking and proding, burning and tearing.

So yes, there were some links between Freemasonry and the Illuminati, but they are tenuous at best and over 225 years old.

Nothing, nada, nil, zilch, not a thing, bupcuss, zero. At least not directly. When the Illuminati did exist, both were secret societies. Several Illuminati members were also Freemasons, but back then secret societies were the social networking.

No. Two problems here: the obvious, the Illuminati does not exist; which leads to the second, tense shift. Asking in the present tense, "does" is inaccurate at best for an organization such as the Illuminati that no longer exists, hasn't in fact for more than 200 years. Think in terms of "did," and yes, many Illuminati members were also members of the Freemasons and dozens of other secret orders that existed in the late 18th century.

Nope. While there were a few Masons who were dual members of the Bavarian Illuminati and the Freemasons during the short time the Illuminati existed, when Duke Theodore disbanded the organization in 1785, they quickly distanced themselves to avoid persecution.

Out of all masonic secret societies that worship Satan is the Illuminati the most demonic of them all by offering blood sacrifices to Bahomet or is the Illuminati just another conspiracy theory?

The masons do not worship satan. While they maintain their secretes, enough of them have died that their books are available in used book stores. Anyone can read their dull books and find out about their dull doctrines. The illuminati attempted to join the masons in Germany but the masons refused to admit them. The two are separate groups. There never was a unified group under one leader with one doctrine called the illuminati. There were groups with somewhat similar doctrines placed under the heading of illuminati. Secret groups lend themselves to conspiracy theories.

Is there illuminati symbols in Mario games?

Extremely doubtful, as the real Illuminati broke up in 1785. Since then, the Illuminati group has been fictional. It exists only in the imagination of conspiracy theorists. It is a sort of strawman or scapegoat organization. Anyone the Conspiracy Theorists dislike or envy, they declare, on no evidence of course, that they are in the Illuminati. No one has ever, in modern times, been proven to be an Illuminatus in a court of law. The Illuminati allowed Masons to join. That has lead to confusion, as some people think it was a Masonic organization, that Masonic signs are Illuminati signs, and that since Masons still exist, Illuminati do. Perhaps there are Masonic signs in Mario games, but Masonic does not mean Illuminatic.

What is with the illuminati and the music industry?

No. The (real) Illuminati broke up around 1785. The fictional Illuminati, of course, can control nothing. It is interesting, by the way, to see the number of people who conflate the Illuminati with the Masons, although the Illuminati was not a Masonic organization (it had members who were, and weren't, Masons).
