Dramatic irony is a literary element because Elie, the author, not the character knows that the Jews should not have been in denial in the beginning of the book, and the reader knows as well.

Foreshadowing because Madam Shacner has hallucination's in the boxcars about fire, which foreshadows the fire from the crematory coming up. Also Moshe the Beadle foreshadows about horrific events that could happen to the jews.

"Nightfall" by Isaac Asimov explores the theme of knowledge versus ignorance. The story revolves around a civilization that experiences an eclipse only once every couple of millennia, leading to a cycle of destruction and rebuilding as the inhabitants grapple with the realization of their own insignificance in the vast universe. Asimov uses the symbolism of nightfall to represent the darkness of ignorance and the fear of the unknown, highlighting the consequences of unchecked hubris and the importance of seeking knowledge and understanding.

The terms used 'in' the story are psychiatric and scientific. No literary terms are referred to directly. If you mean 'what are some literary term applicable to Nightfall?' then foreshadowing, foreboding, third-person, epiphany.
