Literature was in abundance in ancient Egypt, the Kahun Gynecological Papyrus for example.. is about womens health and is dated 1800BCE , this is just to illustrate the vast scope of literature in use in ancient Egypt.

∙ 11y agoWell, only scribes couold read or write so not many people read anyway. But people were read to. They often read things like The Odyssey and they playrights were a lot like shakespeares. Sometimes the pharaohs could read. For more information, Google Ancient Egyptian books and you will probably see something about what it was like but yeah. And you could also read "Cleopatra the 7th Daughter of the Nile". It is her fake journal but it is historical so obviously there is more stuff about literature. Hope i helped any of you! :)
