The shallow water zone is defined as the zone of maximum interaction between humans and critical biological resources - the intertidal zone to four meters below Mean Low Water.
non-living ;)
Sand is a non-living (abiotic) material found in deserts.
It can't because it is NOT a living organism.
The environment of an organism is described by biotic (living) and abiotic (non-living) factors. As examples, a biotic factor could be a competitor for food, and an abiotic factor could be the amount of sunlight that gets to an organism.
An abiotic factor is a nonliving thing... So everything that isn't living...
A nonliving factor would be called an abiotic factor. A living factor would be called biotic
it is abiotic because it is a nonliving thing just learned last week.
the earth is nonliving but has living organisms on it
