To use a pick for gold mining, you have to swing it against the dirt surface. This will break apart the dirt and rock.
An artisanal or small-scale miner is, in effect, a subsistence miner, who often undertakes the activity of mining gold seasonally - for example crops are planted in the rainy season, and mining is pursued in the dry season. They are not officially employed by a mining company, but rather work independently, mining or panning for gold using their own resources. They tend to use primitive methods of mining, including the use of very toxic mercury to extact gold.

Do Anglo Gold Ashanti use Hydrogen Peroxide in mining
There is no mining allowed in Antarctica according to The Antarctic Treaty.
The gold mining operation has different techniques and the tools differ and depend on the kind of activity being done. Gold Panning would require a gold pan, a spade or shovel, a sieve and some small glass bottles for keeping the gold in. The Sluicing activity requires a Sluice Box. Hard Rock Mining involves equipment which can pry away metal from rocks. In a large scale mining operation, the use of trucks cradles, bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders and different earth moving vehicles are also considered equipment for gold mining.

Gold can be mined, but I don't think anyone would want to use a tool made of gold in the actual mining process since it is so rare and expensive, it would be a waste of the mineral.
Several types of equipment are used in gold mining operations to extract, process, and refine gold. Here are some commonly used equipment in gold mining: Excavators: These large machines are used to remove overburden (soil, rocks, and vegetation) to access gold-bearing deposits. Bulldozers: Bulldozers are employed to clear and level the ground, creating access roads and constructing mining pits. Drills: Various types of drills, such as rotary drills and percussion drills, are used to create holes in the ground for exploration, blasting, and sampling purposes. Trommels: Trommels are large cylindrical drum-like screens that are used to separate gold-bearing gravel and materials from larger rocks and debris. Dredges: Dredges are machines that are utilized in placer mining operations, primarily in rivers or streams. They scoop up sediment and water, separating gold particles from other materials. Sluice Boxes: Sluice boxes are long, narrow troughs with riffles that trap and collect gold particles as water flows through. This equipment is often used for small-scale mining operations. Shaking Tables: Shaking tables, also known as concentrators, use water and vibration to separate heavier gold particles from lighter materials, facilitating the recovery process. Jigs: Jigs are mechanical devices that use pulsating water to separate gold particles based on their specific gravity. Crushers and Mills: These machines are used to crush and grind gold-bearing ore into smaller particles for further processing, such as extracting gold through chemical processes. Gold Centrifuges: Centrifugal concentrators or gold centrifuges utilize centrifugal force to separate fine gold particles from other materials, making them particularly useful for recovering fine gold. Cyanide Leaching Tanks: In certain gold extraction methods, cyanide leaching tanks are used to dissolve gold from ore or concentrates, allowing for the separation and recovery of gold. Refining Equipment: Refining equipment, such as smelting furnaces or electrolytic cells, is used to further process gold, removing impurities and obtaining pure gold. It's important to note that the specific equipment used in gold mining can vary depending on the scale of the operation, geological characteristics of the deposit, and mining methods employed (e.g., open-pit mining, underground mining, or alluvial mining). I think you must of mis understood something. People mine for gold and uranium (uranite) at the same time they don't use uranium while they are mining. Considering all these mining explosions it is a stupid idea.
Try to use the kind of word that catches the reader's attention. For example: These are the positive effects of mining gold. Positive effects of mining gold are not too much, huh? or There are a lot of positive effects of mining gold, right?
