The police new al did something wrong so to get him in jail they new that he didn't pay taxes so they brought him to jail for that others say he was in Italian gangs and sold illegal drugs for money and he shot a lOt of people he all so took part in the st valentines massacre

he opend up soup kitchens and homeless shelters with his own money in Chicago during the great depression as well employed close to if not more then 10,000 people and paid them well 9 out of 10 people working for Capone only broke the law of handling liquor during the prohibition under his orders he was a bad human being but did good for all of his evil

He started making illegal alcohol when it was prohibited. Up to that point, he had built an empire of criminal activities and was believed to have gained his power through murdering rivals. Because he was very clever to remain so far in the background of illegal activities, the authorities could never find concrete evidence to charge him with these crimes. He was eventually convicted of Federal tax evasion for never paying taxes on his large income.
