Do you need an intercooler for a turbo?

You don't have to have one, but having one will increase the power of the engine a bit more.

What do you all need to have a complete turbo kit for a 1997 Eclipse?

If your boosting any car. What you need is the: -Turbo -turbo mani -oil feed -oil dran -oil flanges -exhaust flanges -injectors -intercooler -intercooler piping -BOV -WG -tuned ECU

What do you need to turbo a car?

A turbo, an intercooler to coll the engine as turbos produce a lot of extra heat, an aftyermarket ecu as the fuel map of your car will have to be tuned, a dyno as your car will have to be tuned on a dyno.Installing a turbo in a naturally aspirated engine will greatly reduce engine life as the parts are not designed to run at such high temperatures and pressures.

How do I fix my turbo on my 1998 Mitsubishi eclipse gsx I am getting barely any boost outa the turbo?

Make sure the boost air isn't escaping from anywhere; for example the piping which runs from the turbo, to the intercooler, then to the engine. If any of this is split or frayed then your engine will be getting a lot less boost than it is supposed to. As well as this it could indicate a faulty turbo. Or a faulty wastegate, in which case you will need to replace the turbo unless you have an external wastegate, in which case just replace wategate

Can you put a blow off valve on non-turbo Supra?

No, there is no reason for it. In turbo cars you have intercooler pipes that need pressure released at certain times. You have no intercooler in non-turbo cars. I guess you could install one if you wanted to look silly, but it wouldn't serve any purpose or be functional. I hear you can get a fake bov that makes the sound, if that's what you are looking for.

Were can you get a turbocharger for a ranger?

Yes you can. I'm not sure of your knowledge of this so I'll say alot You can get a turbocharger for anything, as long as it is done the right way. What you will need will be an exhaust manifold with a turbo flange on it. This flange must fit the size turbo. (t25, t3-t4). It should be clearly stated on information on the manifold. You will need a wastegate.... depending on the turbo. If it is internal, you don't, external, then yes. Piping- from turbo to intercooler and intercooler to intake manifold Intercooler, to mount on front of truck behind bumper. probably smaller one for ranger. air to air intercooler... blow-off-valve- mount as close to intake manifold. Boost controller and Boost gauge. To monitor and change pressure. (keep below 7psi (7psi is a pretty well know threshold for stock engines) on engine with stock internals) that is the basics..... also might want to upgrade fuel and cooling system to keep up with the performance of the new mods...

How much hp does a intercooler add to 99 cougar?

It all depends all cars are different, your same here and model car could have the same intercooler than you and push out more or less than yours To add to this: An intercooler will not add any HP to any car. It will allow a turbo/super charged engine to make better use of the charged air. (It cools the air, and the molecules of cooled air are more densely packed than warm air. What this means is that more air will go into the engine with cooler air, and thus will allow the car to inject more gasoline per stroke. So the same energy is still there, you are just loosing much less to heat. Since you have a 99 Cougar, you don't have a super/turbo charged engine, and thus don't need an intercooler, unless you have added one of these to it. An intercooler on a non FI car, will lower performance, not raise it.

Is it possible to turbo a 92 bravo G6 engine?

You can put a Turbo on your 1992 engine. You will need to purchase a air intake Turbo modification kit.

Is it hard to install a turbo to a 1.6lt front wheel drive 95 subaru impreza?

It's not hard if u got the money. You'll need the turbo, intercooler, exhaust down pipe and turbo exhaust manifold, upgraded pistons and seals, reinforced bores, upgraded valves. Upgraded fuel and water pumps to feed the extra demand. It would be more cost effective to just buy a 2.0 turbo engine and swap it out.

How do you remove turbo from 96 eagle talon. is it difficult?

No its quite simple, standing in front of the car looking into the engine bay look DOWN and you will see the exhaust manifold/turbo (mostly covered by a head shield...) remove the heat shield if need be. Now 4 bolts 14mm hold the turbo onto the manifold and 2 bolts 14 or 17mm i cant rememeber hold the turbo and O2 housing to the downpipe. Remove the intake and intercooler pipes and WA-LAH out comes the turbo!

Why is engine oil discharging from exhaust pipe of a Mitsubishi pajero 2.8 turbo desiel intercooler?

it could be a few things that cause this either it is your piston rings have worn enough that combustion pressure is being pushed into the sump which is in turn pushing oil past the seals in the upper engine or your turbo has blown a seal and is pumping oil into the intake air charge do a compression test on your engine or goto a good mechanic and ask them to check the compression pressures. To check the turbo pull the low pressure hose off (the one that runs from the air cleaner to the turbo) first check the area around the engine breather pipe where it fits into this hose if there is only a fine mist of oil then go on to check the turbo if there is oil pooling in the intake side of the turbo then you will need a new turbo

Can you put a turbo on a 1999 dodge avenger 2.5 liter?

Yes, there will be some modifications you have to do besides the turbo and intercooler and exhaust pipes for them. Turbocharged motors need better airflow then what comes stock on an engine. You should consider a cold air intake and atleast 2.5 inch turbo back exhaust with a high flow catalytic converter. You also need to find out how much boost the stock internals can take before you damage the engine. Once you get everything installed you will need to have it tuned as well. A dyno run performed by someone who knows what they are doing should be able to tune it from that information.
