A bad ground wire or ground connection.
There are many reasons why a head light would stay on when car is off. These lights could be automatic.
it is most likely that it is a relay if both your tail lights and your dash lights are not turning on when your head lights are on, because your head lights run off of their own fuse it is most likely that it is a relay if both your tail lights and your dash lights are not turning on when your head lights are on, because your head lights run off of their own fuse
Turn your head lights off before you shut the car off
you didnt specify year, but its time delayed electronically. Assuming they do eventually turn off, all is well. It's 1995 Cadillac Concours the interior lights, and head lights go out when I cut the car off but the dashboard lights stay on.
On my 2004 Modus the lights automatically go out as you open the drivers door.
May have to be turned off manually Auto sensor bad
That means you need to check the head lights. Suprisingly enough head lights on cars cause most problems. Especially on Fords.
Brake lights should NOT be effected by the headlights. Brake light function is completely independent of the headlights. Assuming you are not refering to the tail lights, or marker lights, which are supposed to come when the head lights are turned on. Not having brake lights when the head lights are on is a big safety problem and should be corrected.
There is a power or ground wire hooked up backwards. (95%sure)
Sounds like a bad switch or relay.
No
Yes they do. The lights show through the fins and a bulb like hanging off the head.
