it is part of the mollusks family.
Some mollusks have a foot like a snail and can move very slowly. Others only move around as larvae and once they get big enough to grow shells, they stay put. Cuttlefish, squid and octopods are part of this family but they can swim.

Mollusc's have a hard outer shell . For example a mollusk would be a snail and there's even more .Here are examples of a mollusks snail , slugs , clams , oysters , squids and octopus . And also not all mollusks have an hard outer shell for example it would be a slug or a squid they both don't have a hard outer shell . This group is a part of the invertebrate theme.

For the most part, I don't believe so. Snails have a special thing called rahh that allows them to eat leaves. But, clams, on the other hands, may be carnivorus. They might trap fish in there mouths. So, the question yo shoul;d be asking is, are clams mollusks? And, no offense, but how would a snail catch prey if it WERE carnivous? I think it's funny, a snail chasing down it's prey at warp speed? Snails would be too sdlow. They should stick to eatting leaves. They're easy to get.
The snails have a foot (the slimy part under the shell) they contract and expand that makes a kind of rippling movement that pushes the snail forward. The foot also has a special gland that produces a slimy mucas for a slippery track.
