Sound waves are merely vibrations which move from one atom to the next. This is why there is no sound in space, the vastness of space allows for no atoms to be able to send vibrations between each other.
For a sound wave to be created there has to be a vibration
sound
compression wave is a wave like a sound wave
It becomes louder. The amplitude of the sound wave increases
the amplitude of a sound wave makes sound loudness and softer.. damping makes a sound weak and amplifying makes it strong
If the wavelength of a sound wave increases, the frequency of the wave decreases. This means that the pitch of the sound would decrease. Essentially, the sound wave becomes stretched out, resulting in a lower pitched sound.
Tensionin a sound waves makes the sound harsher sound or softer sound
When a sound wave hits a barrier, several things can happen: it can be absorbed by the barrier, reflected back, transmitted through the barrier (if it's not solid), or diffracted around the barrier. The actual outcome depends on the properties of both the barrier and the sound wave.
longitudinal wave formed due to compressions and rarefractions of media through which sound is propogating
Sometimes it makes an echo or reverberation.
because it makes sound
Sound is propagated as a mechanical wave. As with all waves it travels and so has a speed.
