That could be the alternator or the battery. Try jump starting your car with another car's battery. If it still does not start, it is probably the alternator. If it starts, your battery is dead.
Sorry, but your question makes no sense at all. What does a trunk lock have to do with your car starting or not.
Have someone test your battery with a load tester.

is the starter staying engaged? It will make that sound once, and then when you try to start it again it starts just fine.
