Are elixir strings good?

They are rated highly in the guitar community. They sound good, and typically last longer and are more expensive than other popular brands like D'addario and Ernie Ball. They are also protected against rust. HOWEVER, for some reason the G string often breaks right out of the package. This has happened to me and a couple of my friends. For that reason alone, I would stay away from this faulty product.

How does a guitar tremelo work?

A guitar tremolo works but altering the tension of the strings along the guitar. A tremolo on a guitar consists of a handle and when pressed or pulled it moves the strings with it. When you push a tremolo arm down it alters the pitch of the struck note to a lower sound by making the string slacker. When pulled it makes the strings tighter and therefore makes the struck note higher. A common example of a tremolo is a Bigsby unit.

When you pluck the guitar where does the sound energy comes from?

When a string on a guitar is plucked, in an acoustc guitar, the body of the guitar is built to amplify the sound that the vibrating string creates, the sound is then released through a sound port located on the body of the guitar below the strings. On an electric guitar, the strings vibrate towards what is known as a "pickup" located on the body of the guitar. The pickup amplifies the vibrations of the strings. All sounds that a guitar makes is based on where the fingers of the guitarist are on the frets and how well-tuned the guitar is.

What do capos do on a guitar exactly?

What age group is the Loog brand of guitar appropriate for?

The Loog guitar is aimed mainly at children. It has only 3 strings, which makes learning this instrument easier for children, however this also limits the abilities of the guitar. If your kid has mastered these 3 strings you will need to look for an upgrade.
