I once saw a documentary on Emperor Penguins. Everything about them is unusual. They huddle together in the worst of weathers (while their mate is at sea feeding), and in the deepest of cold, shuffling round so that the penguins on the colder outside can gain a bit of relief when they get further inside the group. And, all this is while there is an egg on their feet, warmed by a fold of flesh. Believe me, they are not just unusual, they are unique.
