All vehicles prior to 1993. At that time R-134A was introduced and vehicle mfg. switched to this type. Most vehicles today have been retrofitted to accept R-134A

It came with R12 Freon. As R12 is cost prohibitive, have the unit converted to R134a refrigerant or a similar substitute.
A 1995 Cutlass Supreme should use R12 freon. The fittings are different between R12 and R134 so that they can not be accidentally swapped.

It originally came with Freon (R12). Unless it has been converted then it will still contains R12. I suggest you have it converted to R134a, as Freon is so very expensive and hard to find.
OEM refrigerant which came installed in 1993 was Freon R12. I suggest you convert it to R134a if it has not already been converted. R12 is far to expensive.
Freon is the trade name for R12. Your car contains R134 or R134a which is not Freon.
