That depends on how quickly you need to get past the vehicle you're passing. If I'm passing on a two lane highway with no traffic coming the other direction, in my opinion, a reasonable speed would be 10-20 MPH faster than the vehicle you're passing.

Well, I think that no vehicle alone goes faster than any other vehicle. I think it's all on which type of engine you have. But engines are expensive and I recommend unless you are a race car driver, you should keep your engine speed around 150-200 tops for an engine
