Pure evil
Plankton is not a consumer because it eats different bacterias, this makes its a producer.
mammals
It makes your lives a smaller place
Since plankton need sunlight to survive, and considering the fact that sunlight is abundant in this zone, it makes sense that plankton would live in the sunlight zone.
Yes it is; and one of its consumers is zoo plankton.
No, plankton are any microscopic sea-dwelling organisms. these can be plants OR animals. I just checked (April 20, 2011) on Wikipedia: plankton means 'drifter' or 'wanderer' and can be any of the plants or animals UP TO JELLYFISH size. So small shrimp known as 'krill', ARE part of what makes up plankton. Please see the link:

Plankton is not algae. Plankton eats algae though.
plankton does not have a prefix
Most plankton, known as phytoplankton, (but not all) eat in much the same way as do plants - through photosynthesis, the process by which sunlight is converted into food energy.MorePlanktonic animals mostly eat other plankton, incluing the planktonic plants described above, and smaller animals which are also plankton. The smallest of the plankton can eat bacteria and detritus, but the largest of the plankton are true predators. These kind of plankton are called zooplankton, because they are animals.Phytoplankton eat small bacteria, which eat decomposing matter. They are in the blue whale's food chain.
Zooplankton (pronounced ZO A PLANKTON) is plankton
Plankton is based on well,,,, Plankton. Plankton is the small and microscopic organisms drifting or floating in the sea or fresh water, consisting chiefly of diatoms, protozoans, small crustaceans, and the eggs and larval stages of larger animals. Many animals are adapted to feed on plankton, especially by filtering the water.
