Here is some criterial that makes someone a historical person. Remember that this is subjective and is very opinionated (meaning it has my opinion). Impacted people Must be long term impact Long after person died At least 50 years after the person died people must somehow be impacted Must of impacted large quantity of people/ majority of people (and people must of realized it) Very significant (no exact number but at least in 10 thousands) this could be either present or after Brought change Must change the ideas/ideals/religious majority number of people People must realize this and it must be at least in the millions Must be somewhat radical and very new Can't be just a slight change. Has to be big and substantial Must have other people question idea, but that person must hold fast to their beliefs Long term impact change that changes both current people and future people The change has to affect both the current peoples of that persons time and the futu ristic generations
There are many favorite historical people. For example, Abe Lincoln may be someone's favorite historical person, whereas, Thomas Edison may be someone else's favorite historical person.

Shakespeare was a historical person who wrote literature. Occasionally he is a character in quasi-historical fiction, like Shakespeare in Love, which makes him a literary figure as well.
A confectioner is someone who makes and sells candies and sweets. A chocolatier is someone who specifically makes and sells chocolate.
