wind speed changes because when it goes up a hill or down a hill or over a valley the height and temperature drop or increase and it speeds up the wind and then when it levels out again from the bottom of the hill it slowly goes back to how it was from lots of little ups and downs in the shape of the earth.
Acceleration
Acceleration is the change of speed upward. Velocity is any speed, in a fixed direction. So the diference, is that in speed; the direction can change, but the speed remain constant. Only if it moves faster or slower dose the speed change. So in velocity, if the speed, or the direction change, then the velocity changes.
More intertia makes it so more energy is needed in order to change the speed.
There are some factors. Temperature, medium are that factors.
Light can be refracted when it passes from one medium to another with a different density, causing its speed to change. The change in speed leads to a change in the light's direction, causing it to bend. This bending is what we observe as refraction.
change in speed is acceleration. change in speed is the slope of the speed versus time graph, or the derivative of such.

mot transmissions change gears on a variable of things, not always speed. It depends on the engines vacuum being pulled at a certain rpm or electronics that monitor the engine speed that tell the transmissions to change gears.
Motion occurs when there is speed. A change of speed is not required.
Force is not speed. Force is what makes an object change its speed. In other words force produces acceleration, which changes speed. The exact relation is given by one of Newton's laws of motion f=ma you can rewrite this as acceleration= force / mass
Change in speed (more precisely change in velocity) is called acceleration.
due to acceleration the speed and velocity will change automatically
