It is one of the most pristine areas in the Continental valley to be untouched by the hand of man. For all intents and purposes, how you see it today is how it existed 500 years ago before the continent was settled. It is a perfect example of how what is now the Southwest United States would be in its unaltered state. So much so, that Yosemite National Park is on the short list of UN World Heritage Sites.
what makes kentucky so special
It is due to the fact that the valley is so low compared to the surrounding cliffs. All you have to have is a flowing water source that runs off of the cliff into the valley to have a waterfall that is thousands of feet high. Also, Yosemite has snow melt and rainfall that provides the water for the waterfalls which can be seasonal if there is a bad year of drought.
it makes it special because is so peacefull
The natives of the Yosemite Valley area belonged to the Miwok group, which is not a tribe but a group of related tribes speaking similar languages (miwok means "people"). The term Yosemite comes from the word Ühümati, a grizzly bear and the natives living in the valley are generally referred to as Yosemite Indians (not their own name for themselves).Because of the scarce natural resources, particularly foodstuffs, in that region, the natives generally lived in very small hunting groups living on every available food source: acorns, fish, game, birds and so on.The link below takes you to a page of information on the Yosemite Indians:
