Avalanches are tornadoes are two completely different phenomena. An avalanche is a rapidly-moving flow of snow that move down the slope of a mountain. They occur as a result of snow piled on top of a weak layer breaking loose, often from some sort of physical disturbance. A tornado is a violently rotating clomn of air that connects to the base of a thunderstorm and to the ground and is often made visible by a funnel-shaped cloud.
It is in the steering column, right behind the lock cylinder. (where you put the key in to start) You have to take the molding off of the lower column. Loosen four bolts to drop the clomn down. Romove lock cylinder. Undo wiring harness to ignition switch. Remove the two screws mounting swith and replace. The switch should come pre set to on position. Wich the lock cylinder has to be lined up to in order to remove it. Note: the two screws that hold the ignition switch may look like rivets, but they are threaded. Take a pair of needle nose vice grips to remove them. The new switch should come with a pair of hex countersunk screws. This will make it esier to replace again if ncessary. Good luck.
