Gloss was a Career tribute from District 1. The strategy that is shown used by him was to team up with other Career tributes, excluding District 4 tributes, to hunt down the weak. Those he teamed up with were Cashmere, who was his sister, Brutus, and Enobaria. The tributes from District 4 teamed up with Katniss and Peeta.
Career tributes are tributes from Districts 1 and 2 (and 4 in the book, but not in the movie) They have trained for the games their whole lives, even though it is illegal, however they are favoured by the Capitol and so are not punished. The fact they have trained gives them the upper hand and so they usually win. They wait until they are 17 or 18 and then volunteer at the Reapings as they have a very high chance of winning the games. They are a threat to the other, less well-off tributes as they have skills that they have perfected over many years.
Peeta pretended to help Cato and the other career tributes, because if he wasn't their friend they would have killed him.
Career tributes in "The Hunger Games" are usually trained from a young age in combat and survival skills, making them more physically fit and experienced in the arena compared to the other tributes. They come from districts with a legacy of winning and are often more ruthless in their pursuit of victory. This sets them apart as more formidable opponents in the Games.
The Careers often use brute force to win Games. Since they are illegally trained before the Games begin, they are often handy with weapons like spears and knives. They are better fed than other tributes which makes them larger and more muscular. They have a better chance at the Cornucopia and they always use this to their advantage.
One of my favorite Career Tributes is Cato from "The Hunger Games." His intense determination and formidable combat skills make him a compelling character. Cato's complex personality, marked by both ruthlessness and vulnerability, adds depth to his role in the story. His interactions with other tributes highlight the brutal nature of the Games and the pressures faced by those from the affluent districts.
In the Hunger Games series, tributes learn the fates of other tributes through a combination of personal observation, the Capitol's orchestrated events, and the Gamemakers' announcements. Tributes can witness the deaths of others firsthand during the Games, or they may receive information through sponsor gifts or televised broadcasts. Additionally, the Gamemakers can manipulate the environment to display the status of different tributes, such as through the cannon signaling a fallen tribute or the faces in the sky showing the fallen tributes at night.
Most people would say the Career Tributes, but it would mostly be Cato and Clove, since they survived second-longest out of the other tributes (Katniss & Peeta survived the longest). They were also more determined and skilled than the tributes who were never named.
Different people have different career goals. People who are in their right careers usually pursue their satisfaction other than money.
you kill all the other tributes
they are different to each other
