What year is your car? Did you mean the CHECK ENGINE light? The battery gauge?
Probably a dead battery but you may wish to check your battery terminals for corrosion.
A bad stator causes the battery not to charge. That makes the battery light come on. Some other things that can cause the battery light to come on are corroded or frayed cables or connections or a loose/bad ground cable.
Dead cell in the battery requiring a replacement battery or something is on pulling power from the battery. Can be any light on the car or any relay.
Disconnect the negative battery cable for a couple of minutes, then reconnect. This will erase the codes in the computer that makes the CHECK ENGINE light come on. If everything is okay, the CHECK ENGINE will stay off. Tried exactly that advice on my 2001 Camry....and it worked like a charm!!!
Check battery, charge it or change it. Dead battery.
Check your battery.
Batteries are inserted negative to positive and the battery contains electricity which produces heat and light therefore making the battery makes the torch work
Usually this means there is a problem with the charging system. Stop and have the battery alternator checked. Makes sense if you think about it... Usually this means there is a problem with the charging system. Stop and have the battery & alternator checked. Makes sense if you think about it...
Check for: -Not entirely sure, but just check that your brake master cylinder reservoir has the right level of fluid.(under bonnet, in front of steering wheel side). Possibly a strange way Kia has linked warning lights. not quite the battery light and brake light will only come on in these cars if the alternator belt broke off, the alternator is dead or if you have a wire crroded and a bad connection because the alternator light makes it come on but your brake light coming on by itsekf will not trigger your batterty light
Could be starter drive or weak battery you should check out the battery first
If you have a test light or ohm meter check power to starter. If the test light does not turn on or ohm meter does not read battery voltage then you have either a bad ignition switch (electrical harness end that's attaches to the ignition cylinder) or bad starter relay. If voltage is fine then there is a possiblility it may be a starter concern. Part stores such as Autozone can check it for you.
just because you lights and radio work does not mean your battery is good.the starter needs over 100 amp of power to start a car a light needs 5 amps, load test your battery and check cables and connections for corrosion. if battery is over 3 to 4 years your due for a battery, also check alternater is charging when car is running
