Each of the three Apollo lunar rovers had two 36-volt silver-zinc potassium hydroxide non-rechargeable batteries with a capacity of 121 A·h each (a total of 242 A·h), for a maximum range of 57 miles (92 km). None of them has moved since they were left behind on the moon in 1971 and 1972. Even if fresh batteries were taken to them, it is questionable whether they would still be usable after decades of exposure to the moon's monthly cycle of extreme temperatures and to cosmic rays unshielded by any significant atmosphere.
The Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV) or lunar rover was a type of surface exploration rover used on the Moon during the Apollo program
The lunar rover was "strapped" to the outside of the lunar module and unloaded by the astronauts shortly after landing.

The lunar rover was a vehicle that was used for Apollo 15, 16. and 17. They were used to transport the astronauts across the lunar surface. They remain on the moon today.
The lunar rover was first used on the Apollo mission 15.
what makes the lunar rover go is that you go into the vehicle bay and move the big thing at the top to the right.[using the little thing with the sun on it on the right.] then move the "light catchers" from one to another.[there are 3 of them] at the last light catcher move the light from the catcher on to the rover. that's what makes it go.
