∙ 13y agoResearch has been done to answer this question and what it has shown that there are physical features that make people seem more attractive. This can include the shape of the jaw, the placement of the eyes, the shape the hips, and other things. These features that make people attractive date back to the beginning of man. It was part of the survival of the species because certain traits meant that the woman or man could bear children, protect the family, and be successful in hunting for food.

About 8-10% of the population tends to be gay; some cultures are more open about it than others, but gay people can be found all over the world. Thus, while most males (and most females) in a culture will be heterosexual, people who are attracted to the same sex are born that way.
