gamma is ionizing radiation and the only kind that pass through walls, hence quantum projectiles with is light lasers passing through walls. the normal shielding may be lead, or magnetic shield plates used in x-ray rooms.

What is used in the x-ray?

Gamma ray radiation

Is a gama ray the same thing as an x- ray?

Yes, speaking physically. (It is "gamma", not "gama.") It is just a historical thing. The term x-ray is used for radiation created by an x-ray machine, by a beam of electrons striking a target material. The term gamma ray is used for naturally-produced radiation, such as is produced by radio-active decay or cosmic rays.

Are the velocity of gamma ray and x-ray the same?

Yes, as long as they're moving through the same material.

What is used to detect gamma rays?

By X-ray film or some kind of detector that is the digital equivalent.

What type of radiation is used for radiotherapy?

Gamma ray

Which ray is the strongest?

Gamma Ray

What can block gamma ray?

Very thick earthen, rock, or concrete walls. Or, lead or gold shielding.

What can stop a gamma ray?

Nothing stops 'Gamma' rays, however you can block it with 1/2" of lead will prevent 1/2 of the radiation and then it will continue until it is and insignificant amount to record. Hope this was helpful.

Why do we use gamma ray machine?

We use a gamma ray machine to find out where the gamma rays are and where they are pointed to. We also use these machines to study a gamma ray.

What can be used by doctors and industry to diagnose problems?

gamma ray

Is Tyvek a gamma radiation blocker?

No, Tyvek is not a good gamma ray blocker. We know that Tyvek is HDPE (high-density polyethylene), and KDPE is a hydrocarbon. Even though it is "high density" material, it is only high density compared to other poly plastics. The best gamma ray blockers are materials with high mass. Atoms with high atomic numbers and high density are the ones we need to block gamma rays. Carbon and hydrogen don't fit the bill. Tyvek is a poor choice for gamma ray shielding. What is a good choice for gamma ray shielding? We might choose lead 'cause it's cheap and easy to use as well as a good gamma blocker. Certainly concrete and dirt work fairly well as we can get a lot of that stuff together to provide gamma shielding.
