You can see many things on the surface of a lake such as algae, plastic crap, protruding sticks and rocks, trees, the reflection of light, ducks, swans, jumping fish, tadpoles, small fish, and other items of the sort. Keep in mind, though, it depends on what the season is , and where the lake is located.
