all Greek gods can never die because they are immortal. they drink ambrosia and eat nectar which sustains their immortality.

They created the gods so that the Greeks had an explanation for the things that happened in everyday life.
There isn't any particular terms for older Greek gods -- unless you mean the Titans, who weren't gods, but Chronos sired six of the original gods and goddesses.
Cronus and Rhea are the parents/grandparents/great-grandparents etc of the greek gods. If you mean CHRONOS, he's the gods's great-granddad and so on.

The Greeks created the gods to explain why certain things happened. Like why the seasons changed or why earthquakes happened. Things like that.
