ibuprofen is the best way kills the earache within 1hour Home Remedy Cure:If for some reason you can't take any medications, or you need immediate relief until the meds kick in, warm up some olive oil or canola oil to the point where it feels warm but not hot when you touch a drop of it to the inside of your wrist. Pour a small amount into your ear (while laying on your side...having help is good) and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Then let the oil drain out into a paper towel, gently wipe the ear with a tissue, and pour a little bit of hydrogen peroxide into the ear to get out the excess oil. Drain that after the bubbling stops. It will soothe the ear long enough for the pain medication to work, or long enough to go see the doctor.
If that doesn't work, put peanut butter in there, then rinse.
A tried and true home cure is olive oil. 2-3 drops in ear, 2-3 times a day. NEVER put anything cold in your ear (very painful). Warm olive oil to body temp (somewhere around 99o) by placing a small bottle of it in your pocket for a while. <<<ADR>>>
Hi All
Boil some clean water then cool until it is still quite warm
Warm some glycerine check that they are both a safe temperature. Lay on your side ear up dip cotton tip in warm water then place it into the warm Glycerine. Rub the cotton bud around OUTER rim of your ear canal ...Repeat until the warm fluid runs inside coating the sides lay for a couple of minutes on your side.
Step 2 part fill a hot water bottle when it is still quite warm but safe place a damp cloth over it and then lay with the affected ear against it CHECKING one last time for a safe temp ; ) Arrrr relief.
Note : if symptoms persist see your GP
(Glycerine is Glycerol Supermarket or Chemist around a $1)

The most common medication associated with earache is an old formulation of the drug Auralgan. It is a compound consisting of antipyrine and benzocaine and can be found by prescription only at most pharmacies.
A really good product for all piercings, that I even use, is called H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare Spray. It combines sea salt and lysozyme to reduce the healing time and help eliminate adverse issues that commonly arise when dealing with a new piercing. Shorter healing times occur when natural healing environments are promoted rather than using harsh soaps and chemicals that destroy beneficial bacteria. Its hypoallergenic, gluten free, pH balanced, antibacterial, natural to your body, safe for all skin types, and always remain sterile. I bought mine at a local tattoo shop for ten dollars or you can order it on their website for twelve but it last a really long time. I have 16 piercings and have had this spray since March. So this spray is definitely a good investment.
Hope this helped :)

Some pain medicine or ear drops can help. If the ear drops are warmed in hot water for a couple of minutes and placed into the ear, it will feel better. Don't add drops if the ear drum is ruptured. See the doctor for an antibiotic.
Any OTC (over the counter) pain medications can be effective for an earache, but if it is a child under the age of 18, do NOT give them aspirin. If there is any chance the child has the flu, it can result in Reye's Syndrome, which can be fatal. But acetominophen (Tylenol) is safe for children, so you can try that. A heating pad can also be helpful in alleviating the pain. If the earache lasts more than a day, or if fever is also present, or if there is swelling or redness in or below the ear, you need to contact your doctor.
I suggest you find a local contractor and interview several and get a quote from them. I could give you a price but that would mean nothing to you considering your geographic location, supplies, labor, and contractors experience will dictate the cost to have a solar generator installed.
You should ask your doctor to get the best medication for your pain taking into account the possible cause of the pain.
You can put many medications into the ear, depending on what is wrong. You can even put plain olive oil, or "sweet oil," into your ear to relieve pain and irritation. Your doctor will decide which medication you need and give you a prescription for it.

Doctors can give you medication to help. But you will have to see one.
