Rock salt will melt ice fastest. Sand and cat litter don't really melt the ice. They are used generally to provide particles for increasing traction on icy surfaces. Sand might prevent new ice from forming on roads.
When salt dissolves into liquid water, it depresses the melting point temperature - - when helps the ice melt easier. Sand and cat litter don't dissolve into water, so they cannot have this effect. The only thing that sand and cat litter can do is absorb radiant energy from the surroundings better than ice since they are somewhat darker and less reflective - so they provide some minor assistance to melting the snow, but nowhere near the effect of salt.
This sounds like an excellent science experiment! Freeze three different sets of ice cubes and put each into a pan. Cover one with sand and one with cat litter and one with rock salt and check them every 10 minutes until one is all the way melted. Which one will win?
Salt will actually melt the ice (lowers freezing point turning it into water), cat litter and sand only provide a layer of traction on top the ice.
Salt would, because the salt contains chlorine ions, which are greedy and make the ice melt and separate quicker.
salt is the only one of the three that will actually melts ice, sand & litter don't melt ice they only lay on top
Rock Salt try it the salt will go straight down
SALT
Salt.
Most cat litter is made of clay. Clay absorbes oils. When there is oil spilled on concrete take some kitty litter and pour it on the oil. You may need to rub it back and forth with a broom. This will absorb most but not all of the oil. Rather than using traditional clay products like kitty litter, you might consider a "green" family of oil absorbent products. There are many products available online, including OilMaster. These products were developed at Cornell University and are made from renewable agricultural waste products. OilMaster has three loose granular products - 7X, SpeedyBlend, and EconoZorb - all of which are more absorbent than the normal clay absorbents. In addition, none of them contain hazardous dust, like most of the clay products. Each of the OilMaster products was developed for different uses. The best product for use on a concrete driveway would be EconoZorb, which contains a natural whitening dust that will hide the stain.
You will have to do an experiment to determine the answer. You will need to think about having equal concentrations of salt or sugar in the cubes. The size of the molecules/particles is different. So 100 g of salt does not have the same number of molecules/particles as 100 g of sugar. The ratio of particles is 1:4.6 for the same mass of sugar to salt. You can see that this is not an easy question to answer. Which melts faster if the mass of salt and sugar is the same? Which melts faster if the number of particles is the same? The next problem is that salt actually separates into two particles when dissolved in water, sodium ions and chloride ions whereas sugar does not. So one salt particle is actually two ions and the ratio of particles now becomes salt:sugar = 2.3:1 for the same mass of substances. This sounds like a great project for someone to investigate.
Various volatile hydrocarbons will do this, such as gasoline, kerosene, etc. You also need oxygen present
When substances is are put into solution the molecules of both the solvent and the solute are interspersed. Heating the solvent will cause it's molecules to move faster and thus allow the molecules of the solute to better access the spaces between them. Stirring and shaking also speeds up dissolving.
When you run fast, you lose energy. To keep things correct, your heart starts beating faster. Then, you begin to need more oxygen, so the natural thing to do is breathe faster. Depending on how much oxygen you need, you breath faster or slower. The actual movement is the lowering of the diaphragm below the lungs. Normally this is automatic, but the abdominal muscles can voluntarily control the process. So it is possible to consciously regulate, to an extent, the actual rate. Taking "deeper" breaths, more completely filling the lungs, lowers the breathing rate while providing approximately the same volume of oxygen.
you wil need a sharpie 3 candles timer lighter
No, but at 6 weeks of age, it's a good idea to provide a small tray with kitty litter or newspaper for their 'business dealings'. BUT! MAKE SURE they don't eat it (they MAY try).
if you want a snazzy kitty you need a snazzy kitty
Yes, you just need a spoon and gloves. Put on the gloves, get the spoon, and grab it with your hands and the spoon. And take it out.
An oil stain can be very hard to clean up since the ground will absorb some of the oil, but kitty litter does work.

Ice doesn't melt faster in water than tea or coke. It melts faster in tea. Believe me I'm a scientist.I am Dr. Sarah Smith. You need to look it up.
water. It has a higher temperature than iceEDIT:You would need some pretty special conditions for ice to melt when surrounded by more ice.An Ice Cube melts faster in water because water has a higher temperature than ice.The larger the difference in temperature between the ice and water, the faster the ice will melt.
Train them to use a littler box. If it is already trained, then make sure the littler is clean in the littler box, or that nothing has changed with the litter box, as cans are known to sometime be picky with things such as that. Also, you might want to check if the kitty has diarrhea. Is the stool loose or firm? If loose, than there is a good chance of diarrhea, and you certainly cannot get mad at your little kitty for that! If it is a kitten, well expect the poop on the floor. You need to guided the kitty to a larger litter box, and it may take a while to get use to it. Good luck. Hope this helped.
Do not litter on the street.Cats need a litter box to use the Restroom. If you litter, you can be fined a-lot of money!
yes it is, you need to know for hello kitty beta ... right
Your kitten will start using the kitty litter box when he/she is about 5 or 6 weeks old. I know this because my cat has just recently had 3 kittens. They have just now started to walk into their mothers and slowly use it. Hopefully your kitten will start to use the kitty-litter box! Good luck! (You'll really need it! Hint: Your kitten will probably go on the floor every once in a while. This is just natural.)
