A misting is a person who can only burn a single metal. Clubs, Hammond, and Breeze are all mistings. A Mistborn is someone who can burn all metals. Kelsier and Vin are both Mistborn.
In the Mistborn series, allomancers are individuals who possess the ability to burn or metabolize certain metals in their bodies to gain various supernatural abilities, such as enhanced strength, speed, or emotional manipulation. These abilities are derived from the consumption and "burning" of specific metals, with each allomancer typically having an affinity for one particular metal.
The Mistborn series was written by Brandon Sanderson.
An allomantic pulse is a signal a person burning metals emits. The signals can be traced by someone burning bronze.

Allomancy was the ability to ingest metals, and then "burn" them to create certain abilities within a person. An allomancer would often carry small pellets of their metals with them, and ingest them when they burned all of theirs out, or they needed a boost.
They were used for pushing so the mistborn could propel themselves into the air.
The series is still called Mistborn, but the new setting starts with the book The Alloy of Law.
He currently has one in the works set 300 years after the end of the Mistborn Trilogy.
