∙ 13y agoThis method didn't actually cure the Black Death, but to keep it away from you catching it, they used Posies to cover noses, which is connected to the famous rhyme:
'Ring a ring a roses (the red circles on your arms which the Black Death gave you)
Pocket full of poses, (the flowers)
Atischoo! Artischoo! (sneezing)
We all fall down!' (Basically dying)

∙ 13y agoPneumonic plague was not curable but in Bubonic Plague the only way to cure it was to pop the sores and swellings that came as side effects to the plague.
