Milliliters is the metric unit to use for the capacity of a thimble.
Newtons.
You would use the metric unit "liters" to measure the capacity of a hot water tank.
Grams, a submultiple of kilogram.
Meters should be used to measure the length of a tennis court in metric units.
gramme or kilogramme (one kilogramme is 1000 grammes)
Centimeters would do it. A doorknob should be 91 centimeters (3 feet) above the floor.
