It wasn't designed to have 3rd row seating , until the 2002 redesign, thought there is an option for adding a third row. There are websites to buy them, one is www.littlepassengerseats.com
*CAUTION*! The answer provided below is an advertisement to purchase aftermarket 3rd row seating. It DOES NOT provide any details of installing your own 3rd row seat. Check out littleseats.com for add-on seating suitable for children and small adults.
Quad seating is a term used by Kelly Blue Book. It is not applicable to cars. It is used for SUVs and Minivans. Quad seating is when you have 4 individual seats (used to be called captains chairs) in the vehicle . The most common configuration is the Driver and Front passenger seats are individual seats, and the second row is set up the same way. Third row seat would be a bench seat of course. This differs from normal seating (non-quad seating?) in which the second and third rows are both bench seats. Quad seating makes it easier to access the 3rd row because you don't have to flip part of the split bench up to get into the back seat, and is also more comfortable for adults or larger children. Keep in mind, since most second row bench seats seat 3, having quad seating will decrease your seating capacity by one person. There is a significant add in the bluebook value for quad seating.
