Based on proofhouse.com, second model derringers in .41 cal with serial numbers 1-9000 were made between 1870 & 1890.
The nearest I could find was a 1953 model with serial number 663xxx, so it would have to be a few years after that. The N P stands for New Police Cartridge.
You will have to call Colt to find out.

Are you asking if the gun came from the factory that way? Contact Colt Firearms, and ask for a "factory letter". It will tell you the exact date it was shipped, what it looked like, and who it was shipped to.

Need more info in order to help. From your question it is S/N 11848 but the barrel markings are needed to determine what model you have.
This is a '74 Cobra' according to the Colt Cobra Serial No.Table: S/N F60001 thru S/N F99999 were all manufactured in 1974. - HarleyNiteRider
The following is only accurate if you have an original: This is the Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver, production 1850 and continued through 1873, total US production about 325,000 plus London/England production (separatly numbered) about 11,000. Starting of S/N was approx. at 12,000 and running till about 340,000. S/N 241,021 was produced in 1863. The barrel should be marked: "ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA"
