it will fit, but not 2 your stock tranny.
depends on the v8 and the transmission really, but it is not a good idea. v6 tranny was not meant for the torque and horsepower of a v8.
Standard, stock Chevy trucks come with 16" steel tires in almost all cases. As for older trucks, the tire size would differ depending on the model.
