If you mean this as in "Sweet Caroline (bah-bah bah bah) good times never felt so good", it was made into a hit by Neil Diamond. He wrote, produced and sang the tune. For some really odd reason the pop hit, released in September 1969, has become a dance house favourite, where the whole dance floor sings the lyrics. It's also sung by fans at Boston Red Sox games during the 7th inning stretch.
Yes, Neil Diamond did write a song called "Do It." It was one of his earlier songs, back in the mid-to-late 1960s, when he was known for top-40 and rock hits. The song never became a top-40 hit, however.

Bang Records producer Jeff Barry wrote it, and he apparently pressed the song on Neil Diamond to sing on one of Diamond's first albums. But the big hit version of it was by Tommy James & the Shondells.

No. "Daydream Believer" was written by John Stewart, and was a hit for the Monkees in 1967. (Producer Chip Douglas introduced them to the song; Peter Tork came up with the piano intro.)
