YES! Edinburgh castle of course!!!
if you go to princess street (which has lots of shops) you can see the castle. it is quite a steep uphill walk to get there. there is also princess street gardens and some statues of famous people (whom of which i do not know) that's about it that i can remember! i can give you plenty places to visit though!

Also, it is very worthwhile to go to Edinburgh during Fringe Festival. The city is so alive, and many of the shows are inexpensive.
