evel knievel was motivated to do his stunts when his mom took him and his brother to a daredevil auto show. when cliff major jumped through a hoop of fire that set the course for the rest of evel's life.

Evel went home and removed one of the garage door from his grandpas garage to make a ramp out. That wasn't good enough so he built a fire in the middle and removed the other garage door. That was the day Evel burnt both of his grandpa's garage doors.
