Golgotha also known as Skull Place is the place outside, although near, the city of Jerusalem, where Jesus Christ was impaled.

(Matthew 27:33) And when they came to a place called Gol′go‧tha, that is to say, Skull Place,

(John 19:17-18) And, bearing the torture stake for himself, he went out to the so-called Skull Place, which is called Gol′go‧tha in Hebrew; 18 and there they impaled him, and two other [men] with him, one on this side and one on that, but Jesus in the middle.

(Hebrews 13:12) Hence Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.

"Golgotha," or "Skull Place," is also called "Calvary" (Lu 23:33, KJ, Dy), from the Latin calvaria (skull). The Biblical record does not state that Golgotha was on a hill, though it does mention the fact that some observed the impalement from a distance.

(Mark 15:40) There were also women viewing from a distance, among them Mary Mag′da‧lene as well as Mary the mother of James the Less and of Jo′ses, and Sa‧lo′me,

(Luke 23:49) Moreover, all those acquainted with him were standing at a distance. Also, women, who together had followed him from Gal′i‧lee, were standing beholding these things.

Is the cross worshiped like jesusis it true adolphe-napoleon said that the cross was worshiped similar if not equal to christ himself .awake April 2006 jw?

The cross is a symbol of Jesus, just like the flag is a symbol of a country. Because nobody knows what Jesus looked like, when we look at the cross we remember how Jesus hung on the cross, paid for our sins, died, then rose again. The cross itself has no special meaning aside from what Jesus gave to it.
